This is episode 109 of You, Me, and BTC - your liberty and Bitcoin podcast!

Last week, we struggled with the possibility that Bitcoin might be dead. In the end, we found that idea highly unlikely, but it's still clear that the community is struggling. Erik Voorhees saw the issues too and noted two important moves that could help revive Bitcoin.

First, the core developers need to develop a plan for increasing the Bitcoin block size. And second, they should "[denounce] the censorship that has plagued community discussion." Are those good moves? Will they really improve the Bitcoin community? How else can we ensure that Bitcoin continues to develop healthily?

Tune in for our thoughts on those questions and tons more! Your hosts are Daniel Brown, Tim Baker, and John Stuart. Enjoy!

  1. Would be an interesting follow-up in light of the $55 million raised by Blockstream. Do you think there are inherent conflicts of interest regarding the block size and scalability or do you believe the core developers have always held their views regarding the block size limit? And will this affect the direction of Bitcoin in the future?
