The Bitcoin Converter Began with BTC and mBTC
I noticed that several people found my original Bitcoin Converter when searching for a way to convert from mBTC to BTC and BTC to USD. While this is an extremely simple Bitcoin conversion, I figured I'd create this BTC converter just in case someone really wanted it. So, here it is, my BTC and mBTC (and now, bits and Satoshis and USD and EUR and GBP) converter. We use the CryptoCompare Price Index for every USD, CAD, EUR, and GBP conversion. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for improving the Bitcoin converter.
New Bitcoin Unit: Bits
We recently added support for any Bitcoin conversion to or from bits! Bits are one millionth of one Bitcoin or one thousandth of one mBTC. A bit is the same thing as a μBTC or a microbitcoin. Enjoy!
New Currency (9/2/14): USD
You can now convert to and from US dollars with the BTC converter (in addition to Bitcoin, mBTC, and bits). This is perfect for the conversion that everyone needs: BTC to USD. The exchange rate is from CryptoCompare. This Bitcoin converter just keeps getting better!
New Bitcoin Unit (10/1/14): Satoshi
We've added the Satoshi to the Bitcoin calculator. The Satoshi is currently the smallest unit of Bitcoin available. There are 100 million of them in one full Bitcoin. All other units (mBTC, bits, USD) are still available, so there are tons of Bitcoin conversion pairs to choose from. Satoshi to BTC? We've got that. Want to convert from the Satoshi to USD? You can! This Bitcoin converter is now extremely versatile.
New Currency (3/4/15): EUR
We recently added support for the Euro! Now you can use this calculator to do Bitcoin conversions like BTC to EUR and EUR to BTC. You could even convert something like EUR to USD and see what the rate looks like using Bitcoin as the base currency.
New Altcoins (2/7/16): ETH and LTC
The Bitcoin converter is now an altcoin converter as well! We've added support for some of the most popular alternative cryptocurrencies, Ethereum and Litecoin. You can find them by checking the box that says "Show Altcoins" and start converting instantly. If you want to convert from ETH to BTC, we've got your back. Or if you need a calculator for Ethereum to Bitcoin, we can do that too. Let us know what altcoin we should add next!
New Altcoin (8/7/2017): Bitcoin Cash
Now that Bitcoin officially forked, I added Bitcoin Cash (also known as Bcash, BCH, and BCC) to the list. For now, it'll be a primary currency (meaning you don't have to check the "Show Altcoins" box to see it). But if BCH crashes over time as many expect, I'll move it into the altcoins area to reduce clutter.
So go ahead! Try out a BCH to BTC conversion and see how much extra value you may have lying around in your old Bitcoin wallets.
I wish to visit the “silkroad” equivalent on the deep web with the intention of making a purchase. The price of 2 units of the item I wish to purchase is ~60.00USD, which converts to .102 bitcoins. Can fractions (or bits) of bitcoins be purchased, since it appears they are accepted, thereby reducing the single bitcoin into a fraction. Since The value of one single bitcoin is about 550.00 USD, purchasing one is out of the question. I only wish to purchase the bitcoin equivalent to around 100.00 USD.
So how does this work? thanks
I am sure you resolved this already, but just in case others have the same question. Yes you can purchase partial amounts of bitcoin. There are many exchanges online to do so, one of the more trusted sites is http://www.coinbase.com
Bro. What kind of freaking OPSEC is this?? I guarantee you were not protected while making this comment. This is a ridiculous comment. Telling everyone that you want to purchase off SR (which is obsolete now) is the dumbest idea you can possibly make. You do not think LEA SCOURS these kinds of websites to see who is associating themselves with BTC? You sir should not be making purchases off marketplaces if you can not follow SIMPLE OPSEC. You are making yourself a low hanging fruit and LEA is hungry. Get right or get put in PRISON.
Amazing Tool, Thanks

Just want to let everyone know that altcoins are on the way! I’ve put in Litecoin as a test. Let me know how you like it, if you find bugs, and what other coins I should add!
