This is episode 80 of You, Me, and BTC - your liberty and Bitcoin podcast! Apologies for being about a day late with this episode. I've been enjoying the vices of Vegas at FreedomFest. Liberty FTW!
For the first half of today's show, we're chatting with Robert Allen, the founder of COINCUBE. The new cryptoservice uses a special algorithm to trade your Bitcoin for profit. Mr. Allen will explain how it works, how it's actually helpful for the Bitcoin market, and more. Robert also has experience in the gold industry, which will lead to an interesting discussion about the crazy possibility that cryptocurrency could someday displace precious metals.
Then after that, I'll sit down with Stephan, the protocol architect for Trest. He'll share how the new cryptocurrency is different than Bitcoin and possibly more cost-effective. The network does not rely on traditional mining, so Stephan will explain what encourages nodes to validate transactions even when there's no monetary incentive.
Your hosts are Tim Baker, Daniel Brown, and John Stuart. Enjoy!
Leave a comment and tell us if you think cryptocurrency could ever displace precious metals!
